ANNOUNCEMENTS

             Vance E. Hollar passed away on Thursday, May 29th.  Vance served as Chairman of the Camp Linn Haven Board of Trustees for  40 years.  He was responsible for the restoration and revitalization of the camp.  It is his groundwork that served as the building block on which the camp is built and continues to grow and prosper.  Vance was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Conover, NC.  He dedicated a large part of his life to Linn Haven.  Memorials can be made to Camp Linn Haven.

2009 Kitchen Staff & Kids Camping Reservations

 

Kitchen Staff Requirements

· If a you would like to work in the kitchen with Teirsa you must contact her by January 2009. 

· You must be between the ages of 13-18.

· You MUST know how to do the following:  wash, dry, and fold laundry, sweep, mop, wash dishes, clean toilets, sinks, showers, and mirrors.

 

Middle School & Pre-Teen Week Camping Requirements

· If you are wanting to attend during one of the kid weeks, reservations must be received by early March.  Spots are on a first come first serve basis and they fill up fast.  Reservations received after March 15th are subject to a waiting list.  

· Please remember that there are to be NO cell phones or electronic devices during the kid weeks.  There is a phone on site for emergencies.

· According to the Health Department there is to be no food kept in the cabins.  Please do not send snacks or drinks with your child.  Snacks can be bought in the canteen and eaten during that time.
