2010 Kitchen Staff & Kids Camping Reservations

 

Kitchen Staff Requirements

· If a you would like to work in the kitchen with Teirsa you must contact her by January 2010. 

· You must be between the ages of 13-18.

· You MUST know how to do the following:  wash, dry, and fold laundry, sweep, mop, wash dishes, clean toilets, sinks, showers, and mirrors.

 

Middle School & Pre-Teen Week Camping Requirements

· If you are wanting to attend during one of the kid weeks, reservations must be received by early March.  Spots are on a first come first serve basis and they fill up fast.  Reservations received after March 15th are subject to a waiting list.  

· Please remember that there are to be NO cell phones or electronic devices during the kid weeks.  There is a phone on site for emergencies.

· According to the Health Department there is to be no food kept in the cabins.  Please do not send snacks or drinks with your child.  Snacks can be bought in the canteen and eaten during that time. 

 

Do NOT leave the following items with your camper:

· Cell Phones

· Food, Candy, Drinks

· Extra money other than what is needed for Canteen.

 

1. There is a phone on site if you need to speak with your camper you may call at 8:45, 12:45, and 5:45.  Please remember that we have a high volume of calls during meal times and you may not get through.

2. By the order of the Avery County Health Department there is to be no food, candy, or drinks in the cabins at anytime.

3. If you leave money with your child and do not give it to your child’s counselor camp nor anyone affiliated with camp will be responsible for any lost or stolen items.

 

Do NOT mail the following items to your camper:

· Food or candy

· Cash

 

There are times that mail does not arrive on time or that the kids will leave it laying around.  Please do not send money or they may not receive it.

PLEASE REMEMBER THAT THERE ARE NO PETS ALLOWED AT CAMP!
